Mike Malaska (Malaska Golf) and Jay Schroeder (EVO UltraFit) sit down and deconstruct the commonly held belief of Golf’s “X-Factor”. The misconception that the body should be viewed as a coiled spring is taken apart and examined. Mike and Jay illustrate how the idea of conflicting tension between the upper and lower portions of the body leads to an increase in torque on a swing is not the appropriate movement. But this belief, which has been taught to many generations of players, has lead to the rampant pace of injury seen on the PGA Tour today.
